This is podcasts moment. Two months ago Apple topped 1 million podcasts, with nearly half of those having published at least one episode in the last ninety days. OmniCom has just committed to spending $20m to advertise on Spotify’s podcasts between now and the end of the year. $100m Luminary launched back in April as the first subscription service podcast platform ever. And the rate of new podcasts being created continues to increase. Yes it’s been a busy few months in the world of podcasting.

In the last three months, brands have woken up to the potential of podcasts with brands looking to speak to audiences via the one platform that unites us all: a smartphone. Whether it’s internal or external comms this workshop will examine the state of play for podcasts – how did COVID-19 affect listenership numbers? How does virtual podcast recording work? How does it deliver value? And how can we expect the industry to move in the future?

If there’s one thing for certain, COVID-19 has meant that podcasting is poised to become more mainstream very quickly. Join the workshop to understand the opportunities for jumping on this trend.
