The ICCO Global Summit returns as an in-person event this year, taking place at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeriah on 12th and 13th October. Delegates can expect to hear from an eclectic variety of international speakers, as well as enjoy social functions and networking sessions with colleagues from across the globe.
The Middle East is undergoing a rapid period of growth, advancement, economic and cultural development with business opportunities at the heart. This year’s Summit will be the first one taking place in the Middle East and we are delighted for it to be hosted in Dubai, which is a global hub for PR.
The theme of the conference, ‘Being The Change’, captures a shift in the role of PR firms advising clients not just to ‘say the right thing’, but to ‘do the right thing’ too. The Summit will confront head first communications and PR challenges of this decade, including: attracting and supporting the talent and skills required for modern communications; battling misinformation; public media education; and technological challenges that are all constantly evolving.
Alongside these issues, we will explore PR’s role in communicating complex and challenging topics to the public, through traditional and digital media.
Through these challenges come opportunities to change, to improve, and to better shape businesses and societies through the power of communications. It is our time to ‘be the change’.
