Job Description:
As a PR Account Director at Cicero & Bernay, you will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of high profile clients, driving strategic PR initiatives, and overseeing the execution of integrated communications campaigns.
You will act as the key liaison between our agency and clients, ensuring that all communications strategies align with
their business objectives. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in public relations, excellent
client management skills, and a deep understanding of the media landscape.
The Account Director possesses a deep understanding of the strategic needs of the clients and actively works to
enhance and expand these relationships. Additionally, they play a pivotal role in Business Development by
contributing to proposals, meetings, and case studies.

Job Responsibilities:

Client Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
• Understand clients’ business goals, market position, and industry challenges to develop and execute
tailored PR strategies.
• Lead regular client meetings, providing strategic counsel and status updates on campaigns and projects.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Strategic Leadership
• Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies that drive brand awareness, enhance reputation, and
achieve measurable results.
• Oversee the creation and execution of integrated PR campaigns, including media relations, digital
communications, content creation, and event management.
• Monitor industry trends and media landscapes to identify opportunities for client positioning and thought
leadership.
• Guide clients on crisis communication strategies and manage any emerging issues with poise and
professionalism.

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and mentor a team of PR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide strategic direction, feedback, and support to account managers, executives, and assistants, ensuring
the team’s growth and development.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., social media, digital, creative) to deliver cohesive and
integrated campaigns.

Business Development
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts through upselling and cross-selling additional
services.
• Support new business efforts, including pitching to potential clients and developing proposals that
showcase the agency’s capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to set and achieve business development goals.

Financial Management
• Manage account budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and delivering projects within scope and on
time.
• Track account profitability and work with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and financial
reporting.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients and vendors.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of agency/consultancy experience preferably.
• Successful account management experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts in an agency setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in PR tools, media monitoring platforms, and digital communication channels.
Preferred Skills
• Experience working with global clients or managing international PR campaigns.
