PR Account Director

BPG UAE is embarking on an exciting growth phase in our business and seeking a senior PR professional to join the team.
Our ambition is to be the benchmark for quality in communications across the Middle East. We are looking for a driven, collaborative and qualified PR Account Director to join our team in Dubai. The role requires an experienced and dynamic leader to drive, plan and manage the communications, shaping our clients’ brand reputation, relationships with stakeholders, media, online and other target audiences.
As a PR Account Director, you will play a pivotal role within the agency, covering a broad remit of account development and overseeing delivery. As part of the account management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that we understand the required client deliverables and provide a consistent level of service. You’ll be expected to develop relationships with our clients, establishing credibility and becoming a trusted adviser. This could include leading a communications account, or supporting with a communications remit for integrated accounts.
Across all clients, you’ll focus on strategic business objectives, being aware of industry trends to support them. You’ll work closely with other members of the PR account team and also help manage project execution as part of cross-functional teams that could include PR/Comms, strategists, data analysts, creatives, media, experience design, events, and technical deployment.
Responsibilities
Leading the corporate communications team, you will be required to manage a supportive and dynamic staff of 4 and work across a broad range of client sectors such as finance, tech, multinational and government, driving results to achieve objectives:
Strategy
• Set the strategic direction for clients and projects, providing vision while possessing a deep understanding of project details, identify and plan solutions to meet clients’ business needs
• Proactively provide clients with strategic insight and problem solving on a consistent basis
• Ensure all strategies and tactics developed support the brand objectives
• Set key KPI’s and regularly measure performance
• Lead strategy sessions for clients and make key presentations
Management
• Work with management team to set priorities for the business. Deliver on those goals monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Manage the client team and account responsibilities, working as a team player
• Establish priorities and ensure team members are aware of their responsibilities
• Lead client communications, meetings, and workshops
• Supervise the management of clients and development of the account team
• Identify and help resolve people/departmental conflicts with practical solutions
• Advocate for staff growth while providing clear and regular performance feedback
General
• Keep up to date on competitive news and market trends
• Support with new business development and proposals
• Identify and cultivate new opportunities for agency
• Identify up-sell opportunities to drive additional revenues
• Manage and achieve financial targets for client and agency profitability set by the management team

Ideal Experience
• Extensive experience working at a senior level in a media, Public Relations, or digital communications role
• Proven ability in developing corporate communications strategies
• Experience in successfully raising an organization’s public profile
• 6 years minimum of relevant account management experience across B2C and B2B brands, ideally with technology and finance clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of social networks, including LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram,
• Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
• Willingness to work on projects that cross into multiple disciplines and industries
• Strong presentation development and storytelling skills
• Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
• Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with an excellent ability to identify tangible opportunities
• Collaboration skills and the ability to draw on them in challenging situations
• Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
