What can organisations do to move from performative to authentic?
In the past couple of years we have made much progress towards building a fairer, more inclusive
and equitable industry, however, there remains a lot to be done. Data and statistics from the past
year indicate dwindling DEIB resources and budgets, of agenda’s being derailed in the face of the
cost of living crisis/the war in Ukraine. Of fatigue, and absence of measurable change, of too
much talk and very little action for change.
As an industry, that aspires for a seat at the table, we must be conscious of the role we play as
strategic advisors to our clients who may be organisations, countries, governments and
individuals. It is critical that we are suitably prepared for our role as senior counsel, that we have a
global view on state of progress, trends, best practice, tools and training to support ourselves and
our clients as we embark on the next phase to dismantle systemic issues facing our industry.
This half day workshop is an opportunity for practitioners to empower themselves through
learning from theory, lived experiences, case studies, discussions with peer groups on how best to
design interventions for building and embedding inclusive cultures in organisations.
