The way we write needs to change. Our audiences’ attention spans are getting shorter, and we are more easily distracted. In the Middle East, press releases are still revered, but we need to make sure they work for the web and are still engaging in today’s image/video led online world. We can’t rely on the same key messages across all of our communications channels – the writing needs to change from the press release to the tweet, from the blog to the Instagram caption. This half-day PRCA session will help you to develop written content that works online and offline, developing your writing skills for web copy, blogs, press releases, features and social media posts.
Attendees will:
- Gain an understanding of how reading patterns change online
- Learn how writing contributes to the website’s position in Google rankings, and how to improve this through SEO
- Be able to develop key messages and news into written content that works across the various social media platforms
- Review best practice for blogging and social media posting
