What is PRCA MENA ?

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is the world’s largest professional PR body.

We represent more than 35,000 PR professionals in 70 countries worldwide. PRCA MENA established in 2016 with the aim of raising standards in PR and communications industry within the region

Our mission is to create a more professional, ethical, and prosperous PR industry. We champion – and enforce – professional standards in the UK and overseas through our Professional Charter and Code of Conduct. The Code compels members to adhere to the highest standards of ethical practice.

We deliver exceptional training, authoritative industry data, and global networking and development opportunities. We also manage the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO), the umbrella body for 41 PR associations and 3,000 agencies across the world, and LG Comms – the UK’s national body for authorities raising standards of local government communication.

What is the PRCA MENA Code of Conduct?

PRCA MENA exists to uphold standards in the public relations and communications industry. Therefore, all members are automatically subscribed to the PRCA MENA Code of Conduct and upholding the rules and standards set out are a continuous condition of membership to the PRCA. The Code includes the Professional Charter, Public Affairs and Lobbying Code of Conduct, Health Public Relations and Communications Code of Conduct, and Arbitration and Disciplinary Procedures.

How we do and make a difference to the industry?

All PRCA members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and benefit from exceptional training. The Association also works for the greater benefit of the industry, sharing best practice and lobbying on the industry’s behalf, for example fighting the NLA’s digital licence.

PRCA MENA membership provides you and your team with substantial discount to all our face-to-face and online training and qualifications. We also provide bespoke training, looking at internal and external training for your team. You and the team can benefit from our free on-demand training for the first year immediately.

Discounted entries to PRCA Awards

PRCA MENA hosts two awards annual, the PRCA Digital Awards which will be hosted on the 16th of December, entry submissions close on the 15th of October followed by the  PRCA MENA Awards in the first quarter of 2021, entries open beginning of October. Members will receive discounted entries and discounted tickets/tables to the awards ceremonies.

PRCA MENA Designatory Letters are the mark of professionalism and highlight members’ commitment to industry standards and PRCA MENA’s code of conduct and professional charter. The Designatory Letters MPRCA, is available to all PRCA MENA members working in consultancies, in-house and communication teams, and individual and freelance practitioners.

What is ICCO and what does this mean for me as a PRCA MENA Member?

The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) is the voice of public relations consultancies around the world.PRCA MENA are also members of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO) and all PRCA MENA members avail an ICCO membership
